There has been speculation the Oilers might make a big pitch for unrestricted free agent Marian Hossa. The question is, would he want to go west and endure the travel, or stay east where life is more comfortable? ... Now that Ray Emery has been bought out, a team will take a chance on the former Senators goaltender. Every team thinks it can turn the talented but enigmatic Emery’s career around. It wouldn’t be a surprise if he ended up in Detroit.

EDM can try and get Hossa all they want, I don’t see him going to the NHL’s gulag though, he can be abit picker than that. Good luck trying though, Lowe.
No way DET takes Emery. No way. DET rarely gambles with character, and the one time I can think of them doing just that was with Hasek, and I think Kenny learned his lesson with that.

I agree completely on your first point. It’s character first with the Wings. As for Dom, his problem wasn’t a lack of character (as it appears to be with Emery). His problem is that he is a character…and a crazy one at that.
It will be fascinating to see who (if anyone) is willing to take a gamble on Emery. IMHO, anyone who does is crazier than Dom ever thought of being.

I disagree with anyone who thinks Emery is “bad” for Detroit(or anyteam for that matter). He is an awesome talent and deserves a little more respect but whatever…as I guess his problem with the rest of the punk b^t*h’s in Ottawa. I just hope he gets the chance to prove you all wrong!!
