Would Jagr Rather Be A Member Of The New York Rangers?

from Stan Fischler of Game On,
Talk about going from a BIG SPLASH to a drop-in-the-bucket, how about our old buddy, Jaromir Jagr, formerly the toast of Broadway. A year ago Jags detonated roaring headlines by emigrating to Russia. Now there’s hardly a whisper about JJ. Let’s not forget that Jaromir – same as Sean Avery – could have remained a Ranger. There was a reasonable deal there for him to return, but he chose to chase pucks in Putinville. It says here that he regrets the move – deeply!

yeah, we will see if he comes back or not, i guess that will answer the question of whether or not he regretted leaving.

Jesus, Senile Stan drives me crazy with his CAPS FOR EMPHASIS, his usage of both accepted player nicknames and unaccepted ones, the things he makes up that he thinks are so cute (Putinville? Really?), and the way he always does the, “It says here...” line.

Senile Stan. I like that one, Nathan! Didn’t Fischler also suggest the Rangers were going to sweep Washington in the playoffs when they went up 1 game? He also presents no evidence that Jagr regrets leaving. I think he’s just becoming another Fat Bruce Garrioch or Al Strachan, presenting opinion as fact because he, the great sportswriter, thought it.

Fischler is a shining example to all aspiring writers…
...on how *not* to write.

Kukla’s Korner is always a free service for readers, but it costs some money to maintain. If you’re ever in a position to donate a few dollars to help out, we’d be very appreciative.

Keep on pitching that company line about Jagr, Maven. Sather didn’t want him back, and that proved to be a disaster last season, so some “revisionist history” sprung up.
