from Don Brennan of Off The Posts at the Ottawa Sun,
Gerber is supposed to start in Edmonton tonight, and when I heard that I lost any sense that the Senators might snap out of their 12-game road losing streak. The other players will all defend their friend and teammate, but they see Gerber giving up the softies too.

Mr.Brennan conveniently forgets that Martin Gerber has a multi-millon dollar contract from the Ottawa Senators to tend goal.
As Mr Gerber is no worse than the team in front of him, it makes economic sense for the much maligned Martin to earn his keep.
The Senators are a terrible squad, and winning games will only become an obstacle to being terrible enough to compete in the Hedman-Tavares sweepstakes.
Mr Brennan’s other suggestions include trading for Sean Avery and his multimillion deal, but one may attribute that the excessive amounts of beer Mr Brennan repeatedly brags of consuming.
Ottawa may have a bad hockey team, but Mr Brennan is evidently an even worse hockey journalist.
