from the Maven at MSG Network,
-A change of scenery is a virtual must for Todd Bertuzzi and Alexei Yashin. We wonder whether the Rangers would be interested in Yash – as a second-liner. Darn right, he wants to stay in the New York area where his long-time gal-pal, Carol Alt, models. As for Bert, his $5.3 million pact is high for all his baggage but the talent – when motivated – is unmistakable.
-Teemu Selanne’s take on what he sees as a homestretch officiating slump. “New rules? Wake up! I don’t know what the new rules are anymore.”
-Mike Babcock on his Red Wings’ inspiration:
“Obviously, it’s not because of money,” Babcock says. “It’s because of passion. It’s because of treating people right. It’s because of great scouting and Kenny Holland and Jimmy Nill and people that have been around here a long time – Jimmy Devellano – have done a heck of a job.” To say the least!
