from Chuck Gormley of the Courier Post,
Having marked the end of the season’s first half with a sloppy 7-4 loss to the Ottawa Senators, the Flyers find themselves with a .500 record.
The difference is that 22 other NHL teams have been better, leaving the Flyers—once projected as a Stanley Cup contender—bobbing with a 19-19-3 record, last in the Atlantic Division, 12th in the Eastern Conference and 23rd in the NHL.
The Flyers are just as ordinary at home, where they are 9-9-2, as they are on the road, where they are 10-10-1.
And they haven’t been any better under coach Peter Laviolette (6-8-2) than they were under coach John Stevens (13-11-1).
