NHL Network Extends Relationship With Comcast

NHL Network and Comcast Corporation, the nation’s leading provider of entertainment, information and communication products and services, today announced a long-term agreement with the NHL Network to add the network to its Digital Classic level of service by the start of the 2009-10 NHL season. Under the terms of the agreement, the NHL Network will reach nearly two-thirds of the Comcast’s total digital customer base.

Sharks Fans Getting the Shaft

Comcast SportsNet has more sports than they do channels. When fans of the San Jose Sharks tuned in to see playoff hockey last night they were surprised to see a baseball game in progress. When that game went into extra innings, ComcastSportsNet decided to stick with the game and drop playoff hockey.
And they might do it again tonight.
