via Jeremy Rutherford of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch,
On an innocent line change, Perron tossed the puck into the offensive zone, and the puck found its way to the back of the net.
“I thought someone else scored,” Perron said. “I had no idea what happened. I turned around and (Cam) Janssen was all over me.”
The crowd of 17,512 was just as surprised as Perron and the Blues. Phoenix coach Wayne Gretzky shook his head in disbelief.

from Chris Pinkert of StLouisBlues.com,
(David) Perron admits that having limited playing time as a rookie was hard. He says he wanted to play every game, but insists that learning to deal with adversity is a big part of becoming a pro.
“You just let the coaches make the decision and when you’re on the ice, you play hockey and do your best,” he said. “That’s how I managed to play better in the last part of the season.”
Perron is using the summer to improve his game in hopes of contributing more this upcoming season. As he continued to autograph team posters, he said he’d like to improve his all-around skill, have a quicker shot and a better one timer. He wants to get stronger without losing his agility, and of course, he’d like to score more goals.

from the St. Louis Post-Dispatch,
David Perron got a tardy slip Wednesday, and as a result he didn’t play against Detroit.
Perron went home to Sherbrooke, Quebec, for Christmas and missed his return flight Tuesday night to St. Louis. He flew back Wednesday morning and was late for the morning skate.
Blues President John Davidson said that a car accident near the Montreal airport, in part, caused Perron to miss his flight.

from the News-Democrat,
Fast forward to Monday, and Perron began the day as one of the NHL’s hottest scorers with four goals and five points in his last five games. He has goals in four of his last seven contests and pumped some much-welcomed offensive life into a Blues team that followed up a three-game losing streak with four consecutive one-goal victories.
“He’s something special,” Blues President John Davidson said. “He’s got a great passion for the game; he’s a rink rat. There’s no question he’s got the ability to score goals and pass the pucks, plus he has no fear of going into any area on the ice.”

from Jeff Gordon of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch,
...So, no, Murray doesn’t sound eager to return Perron to junior hockey for the rest of the season.
“We don’t want to say anything until his nine-game trial is up,” Murray said. “We want to keep him on edge.”
To evolve into a Stanley Cup contender, the Blues must integrate fresh talent into their mix during the next few seasons. They must benefit from added skill, fresher legs and increased competition at all their positions.
