Chynoweth Takes Assistant Job With Islanders

Dean Chynoweth just completed a press conference where he resigned as Head Coach and General Manager of the Swift Current Broncos to assume an assistant coaching position with the National Hockey League’s New York Islanders.
Chynoweth had one season remaining on his contract after the Broncos’ Board of Directors exercised a club option for the 2009-10 season following the Broncos’ elimination from the Western Hockey League playoffs.
