So says Mike Milbury speaking about Patrick O’Sullivan of the Edmonton Oilers. Scroll to about the 2:20 mark on the video and David Staples of The Cult of Hockey chimes in…
I thought hockey fans could be tough and nasty in their player critiques on the Oilogosphere, but CBC announcers Mike Milbury and Kelly Hrudey just got as harsh as any anonymous Internet hater. The two CBC announcers thrashed and trashed Oilers forward Patrick O’Sullivan after the first period of the Oilers-Hawks game on Saturday night, bashing him for not going hard after a puck along the boards, evidently so he could avoid body contact with Hawks defender Duncan Keith.
At least that’s how it looked to me, and that’s certainly how it looked to both Hrudey and Milbury. Hrudey started off the hammering, then tagged off and Milbury utterly put the boots to the young Oilers forward.

Report- Kings Reach Agreement With Patrick O’Sullivan

It appears as though the Kings have reached agreement on a contract with Patrick O’Sullivan.
Rich will be updating his blog soon, so you can keep an eye on it if you wish…
added 6:28pm, According to Rich, the deal is done, three year contract, no $$$ yet.
added 6:30pm, According to Bob McKenzie of TSN,
Sources say it is worth an average of $2.925 million per year but will pay him $4 million in the upcoming season.

O’Sullivan Won’t Get A 1yr. Contract

Every day that O’Sullivan is held out of training camp, his conditioning and development suffer, Lombardi said. As a result, it’s more likely that the team’s fourth-leading scorer from last season won’t be at full strength until early next year.
“We’re not giving him a one-year contract because I might have to write off this season,” Lombardi said during practice Thursday morning.
In fact, Lombardi said he won’t offer anything less than a three-year deal. As far as sending the wrong message to other Kings, several of whom will be restricted free agents after this season, Lombardi said he’s trying to avoid that scenario.

O’Sullivan’s Annual Dental Problems

“I was just chasing after the puck and the defenseman got to it before me and shot it and [it] went directly into my mouth,” said O’Sullivan, who thought that the shot came from defenseman Christian Backman.
“It’s funny. Well, it’s not funny but it’s ironic, almost a year ago to the day I got my other two teeth knocked out” against Colorado.
“Both times I saw it but I just couldn’t move quick enough to do anything about it,” O’Sullivan said. “It’s something about early October that’s not good for my mouth.”
This time, O’Sullivan said he lost three teeth, needed about six stitches and suffered a broken bone below his nose. “These [the teeth] were still in but they were back in my throat almost. It was pretty gross.”
