Legwand Takes A Puck To The Face

Predators center David Legwand is doubtful for tonight’s game against San Jose after taking a puck to the side of his face during practice Wednesday.
The team plans to re-evaluate his status today after some of the considerable swelling goes down from the area. So it’s uncertain whether or not he’s dealing with a broken bone.

Legwand Takes Reckless Driving Plea

Predators center David Legwand, who was arrested and charged with driving under intoxication and implied consent on Feb. 15, pleaded guilty Wednesday to reckless driving.
Legwand received a six months suspended sentence and six months probation — contingent on his attendance in alcohol safety school — and was fined $350. He lost his license for a year for refusing a Breathalyzer test at the time of his arrest.

Legwand Avoids DUI Talk

Predators center David Legwand would not comment on reports Saturday that he is facing a DUI charge.
“The attorneys are handling it, and we will go from there,” Legwand said following the 6-3 loss to Dallas.
Said Coach Barry Trotz: “I am aware of the situation. From what I know we will let the courts handle it. No action will be taken until everything goes through the right process.”

Legwand Signed to 6 Year, $27 Million Deal

Nashville Predators Executive Vice President/General Manager David Poile announced today that the club has signed forward David Legwand to a six-year, $27 million contract extension.
