At Fire & Ice, Tom Gulitti reports:
It appears they have re-signed Jay Pandolfo and Sergei Brylin as well [as Bryce Salvador, reported earlier], but i’m still waiting for comfirmation on that. The Devils have called an 11:15 a.m. conference call with Lou Lamoriello to “discuss the team’s players.” I’ll give updates and more detail when I acquire them.
update 11:28am, Now updated with this,
The Devils have re-signed left wing Jay Pandolfo and defenseman Bryce Salvador, the team announced this morning.
Devils general manager Lou Lamoriello also announced that they have passed on the option on Sergei Brylin’s contract for $1.52 million. Lamoriello did not rule out signing Brylin at a later date, but said he will become an unrestricted free agent at noon. Arron Asham will also become an UFA.

Pandolfo Will Miss At Least A Game

from Fire & Ice,
Left wing Jay Pandolfo said he will not play in Friday night’s home game against Montreal because of the “pelvis area” injury he sustained in the third period of Wednesday’s 4-2 win over Dallas. “I won’t be able to play tomorrow,” he said. “It’s disappointing. You never want to be hurt, but, hopefully, it’s not that bad. I think it’s day to day.”
Pandolfo’s ironman man streak will end at 307 consecutive regular season games (the third longest in team history). He last missed a regular season game on Jan. 18, 2003 against Carolina because of a mild concussion (that was the last of four consecutive games he sat out).
