Ducks Lose Visnovsky To A Broken Finger

Ducks defenseman Lubomir Visnovsky suffered a broken finger on his right hand last night. The injury occurred late in the third period vs. Vancouver (hit with shot). Surgery will not be required. Visnovsky is expected to return to game action in approximately four weeks.

Too Many Top Defensemen

If you think that determining who the top goalie will be for fantasy teams this season is tough, wait until you attempt to sift through the number of defensemen who have been at or near the top of the scoring race the past couple seasons. I attempted to narrow down this list to five defensemen, but I had waaaay too difficult a time with that. Plus I’d be subjecting myself to far too much criticism from the masses! (By the way, I love the comments… keep ‘em coming.)

ANAHEIM, Calif. – The Anaheim Ducks announced today that the National Hockey League (NHL) club has acquired defenseman Lubomir Visnovsky from the Edmonton Oilers in exchange for defenseman Ryan Whitney and a sixth-round selection in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft.
“Lubomir Visnovsky is a skilled defenseman with a proven track record,” said Executive Vice President/General Manager Bob Murray. “We feel this is a major addition for us, not only for our stretch drive but going forward.”

Visnovsky Done For The Season

Less than a week after being placed on the injured list, Edmonton Oilers defenceman Lubomir Visnovsky’s season is over due to an upcoming surgery on his injured labrum.
The 32-year old will have surgery on his injured right labrum on Thursday. The procedure will be performed by Dr. Robert Balyk in Edmonton.

Oilers Acquire Visnovsky From LA Kings

The Edmonton Oilers have acquired defenceman Lubomir Visnovsky from the Los Angeles Kings in exchange for forward Jarret Stoll and defenceman Matt Greene.
