About Eye on the Media
Eye on the Media, debuted on Kukla’s Korner in February of 2008, and deals with all the evil, weird and just plain insane things that happen when hockey ventures into the foreign worlds of TV, Radio and News Print. I am a student, and a communications major, in New Jersey, which by association means you can blame me for destroying hockey. I love hockey and wants to hear everything you have to say about the way our game is covered.

Mike Richter to talk Rangers-Penguins on Sunday

NEW YORK – April 25, 2008 – Mike Richter, a Stanley Cup champion with the 1994 New York Rangers, will make a guest appearance during the first intermission of NBC Sports’ coverage of the Eastern Conference Semifinal between the Rangers and Pittsburgh Penguins. Sunday’s coverage begins on NBC at 2 p.m. ET. Richter will join Pierre McGuire (studio host) and Mike Milbury (studio analyst) to discuss the first period and promote both NBC’s and the NHL’s environmental initiatives.
Richter is currently a partner in Environmental Capital Partners, whose mission is to provide capital to, and promote the growth of, middle-market companies that offer products or services which enhance and protect the environment. An avowed environmentalist, Richter currently serves on the board of Riverkeeper, a leading environmental NGO organized by Robert Kennedy Jr., and is a frequent speaker at environmental events.
