October has been a very good month for the Nashville Predators organization in terms of developing young defensemen. Sure, you all saw the headline that Shea Weber was named one of the 3 Stars of the Month in the NHL, but 2007 1st-round draft pick Jonathan Blum is coming along as well:
The Western Hockey League announced today that defenceman Jonathon Blum, of the Vancouver Giants, has been named the HUSKY WHL Player of the Month for September/October.
The 19 year old defenceman from Rancho Santa Margarita, California, recorded 14 points through September/October, netting four goals (three on the power play) and 10 assists all while maintaining a remarkable plus minus rating of +20.
