Freeman’s goal: Give Boots shares the boot

An update from Richard Lawson of the Nashville Post:
[Nashville Predators co-owner David] Freeman didn’t go into detail about how the owners are excising Boots. But he was referring to a legal move in a California bankruptcy court that paints Del Biaggio’s damage to the team in stark, expensive terms.
It’s an aggressive legal maneuver that, if successful, would boot Del Biaggio without the team’s other owners having to put up additional money for the stake.
While the Toronto media went giddy over the filing that portrayed damages done by Boots Del Biaggio to the local ownership as especially dire, it appears to be part of a strategy by Freeman & crew to strengthen their financial interest in the team.
