In this morning’s Nashville City Paper, David Boclair profiles Joel Ward, who came out of nowhere to earn a roster spot with the Predators in training camp, and is now playing regularly on the top line with Jason Arnott and J.P. Dumont:
“He can score a little,” coach Barry Trotz said. “He can defend really well because he’s got good hockey sense. And he’s really responsible. He’s a smart player and he’s put his time in in the minors and it shows. His panic point is very low. He’s got lots of poise. … He’s been a real good player for us.”
