Despite earlier indications to the contrary, it looks like Pekka Rinne will get the start tonight in goal as the Predators take on Edmonton. From John Glennon at the Tennessean:
Dan Ellis could play if absolutely necessary, but will rest a strained back he suffered in the shootout against Washington on Tuesday. Ellis will serve as Rinne’s back-up tonight and should be able to return to the starter’s role on Saturday.
Rinne’s only game earlier this season saw him get lit up by Columbus(!) for three goals on eight shots. Now would be a good time for Nashville’s skaters to put in a solid defensive effort.
