Penalty Plus/Minus Weekly Update:  Viva Kaleta!

This week’s edition of the Penalty Plus/Minus update highlights a new player topping the list, Buffalo’s Patrick Kaleta having generated a net of 9 power plays for the Sabres.  The third-year right winger has edged slightly ahead of San Jose’s Devin Setoguchi and Edmonton’s Erik Cole, with each at +8.  Thankfully for Stars captain Brenden Morrow, we have new leaders at the bottom rung of this ladder as well…

Morrow still ranks last among forwards with a -7 rating, although Washington’s Sergei Fedorov has joined him down there.  Defensemen Braydon Coburn and Mike Commodore, of Philadelphia and Columbus respectively, hold down the basement at -9.  Feel free to sift through the list for your own favorite team and see who’s creating those power play opportunities, and who’s keeping the penalty killers busy.

NOTE:  Players who get traded will have separate lines on this spreadsheet, so that team figures remain intact.
