Peterson vs. Parkinson’s a courageous battle

To help put the game of hockey in a bit of perspective this morning, take a moment to check out this recent article from the Vancouver Province on Predators associate coach Brent Peterson’s ongoing battle with Parkinson’s disease:

“It’s progressing, but I’m still able to do everything I want on the ice and when I can’t, I’m going to continue off the ice for as long as I can,” says Peterson, who was born to be a hockey coach, his love of the game and willingness to communicate what he’d learned coming through even when he was playing for the Canucks and winning almost every faceoff he took.

Hat tip to Mark Howard on 104.5’s Wake Up Zone for pointing out this piece.
