Preds make merry on home ice

The Nashville Predators have started the month of December in good fashion, following up Monday’s 2-0 win in Buffalo with a 3-2 decision last night over Colorado at home.  But I know you folks don’t come here for a typical game recap; you expect something different here at On the Forecheck… so here goes:

(to the tune of “Jingle Bells")

Battling with the Avs,
On Thursday at Sommet,
Down the ice they go,
Mucking all the way
Go! Go! Go!
Vern on a breakaway
Dekeing to the right
What fun it is to beat the Avs
In Nashville on a weekday night!

Oh! jingle bells, Hejduk smells
Budaj laid an egg
It was nice to earn a power play
As Tootoo walked away
Oh! jingle bells, Legwand’s swell
Top Predator in games played
Oh what fun to get a win
On the ice at Old Sommet...

That was so clutch of Toots.  One of the highlights of the night to me.

Nicely done. I was too busy today to do a recap so I just posted a link to this wink
