Up one day, down the next

From the Nashville Predators:

Nashville Predators President of Hockey Operations/General Manager David Poile announced today that the club has reassigned forward Ryan Jones to the Milwaukee Admirals of the American Hockey League.

Jones played one game in his second stint with Nashville, logging 10:43 last night in Columbus. In 16 games with the Predators this season, he has six points (3g-3a). The 6-2, 215-pound forward has also appeared in eight games with the Admirals since Nov. 20, posting nine points (6g-3a) and a +4 rating.

Just as quick as he was called up, Jones heads back to the AHL; I’m guessing that’s an indicator that either Scott Nichol or Jordin Tootoo (my bet is Toots) are ready to rejoin the lineup for tomorrow night’s tussle with the Dallas Stars in Nashville.

UPDATE:  Yup, Tootoo is expected back in the lineup on Saturday.
