As I continue with my pre-season predictions, here is my predicted order of finish for the West Conference teams. To see blurbs about each of the teams in question, you will have to look to my division previews(Northwest, Pacific and Central).
This is my predicted order of finish in the West Conference:
1. San Jose Sharks
2. Calgary Flames
3. Detroit Red Wings
4. Chicago Blackhawks
5. Vancouver Canucks
6. Anaheim Ducks
7. Edmonton Oilers
8. Columbus Blue Jackets
---------------------------------------
9. Dallas Stars
10. Nashville Predators
11. St Louis Blues
12. Los Angeles Kings
13. Minnesota Wild
14. Colorado Avalanche
15. Phoenix Coyotes

I think you may have it mostly right. However, switch Detroit and Calgary around. Also, Dallas and Edmonton should also be switched. I don’t think Edmonton has a chance in hell even with Khabibulin in net.
The northwest will definitely be close. It is a toss-up between Canucks and Flames for the lead I think.

My order:
Heatley sure will be a factor
I’m saying the Jackets and Blues are not making an impact, the flames falter, and the wild surprise behind excellent goaltending. The Oilers shock everyone (who doesn’t realize how close this team actually is to being a contender). Yotes actually have a decent year.
1. Vancouver Canucks
2. Detroit Red Wings
3. Chicago Blackhawks
4. Anaheim Ducks
5. Minnesota Wild
6. Calgary Flames
7. Nashville Predators
8. Edmonton Oilers
---------------------------------------
9. San Jose Sharks
10. Dallas Stars
11. St Louis Blues
12. Phoenix Coyotes
13. Columbus Blue Jackets
14. Los Angeles Kings
15. Colorado Avalanche

Pretty good predictions I think PST, overall. Although I think St. Louis is going to crack into the lineup at the expense of Vancouver or possibly Edmonton this year.

1) We think Detroit will fall back into the pack a bit.
2) LA might be the surprise team this season
3) Wild and Oilers will miss post season
4) Colorado and dallas will be bottom feeeders
5) Flames, Hwks and Sharks your division winners

Flames 2nd in the west? Must be smoking some good stuff. Flames are the most overrated team this year. They have no scoring outside of jokinen and iginla and kipper is declining with each passing year. Vancouver will win the division once again.
