On Sunday, the Hurricanes won their first game in the Traverse City prospects tournament. The Canes top prospects defeated the Rangers’ prospects 5-3. While the Rangers official website has details, the Hurricanes website does not. Boooo!
The Hurricanes got goals from Drayson Bowman, 2009 draftee Matt Kennedy, Zach Boychuk, Elgin Reid. Brandon Sutter added an empty net goal to seal the deal. Mike Murphy was in goal for the Hurricanes, who outshot the Rangers 40-35.
