At some point, the NHL and Versus announced that they would lift their exclusive broadcast of Monday night agreement, which allowed the Florida-Carolina game to become available on Center Ice. What we’re getting, though, isn’t a broadcast.
We’re getting the in-house camera crews (read: NOT SunSports or Fox Sports) and the feed from Panthers radio. The camerawork is mediocre at best, which gives me a profound appreciation for the good work that all the “real” cameramen and women around the league. Or at least it gives me an appreciation of the better equipment that the production companies have.
Still, I guess it’s better than nothing at all.

I was wondering what the deal with this was. I turned it on and was just really turned off by the broadcast quality. I felt like I was watching a local high school game.
