Penguins’ captain Sidney Crosby will return from a four-game absence tonight vs. the Florida Panthers.
Crosby centered the first line on the game-day skate, with new Penguins Chris Kunitz and Bill Guerin on the wings.
However, defenseman Sergei Gonchar will be out. Gonchar’s wife is due with their child. Alex Goligoski has been recalled.

This is good news. The pens need Crosby to start getting some chemistry with his new teamates. Last year, Hossa and Crosby had little time since they both were injured for multiple games down the stretch.
I am not sure i would take Kunitz off the Staal line though. That line was really working well together.
Any idea what the other lines were like for practice?

Just read that Gonchar is out, so that changes things a lot.

That Crosby line sounds like they’ll score 4 goals between them…
.. and be a minus 2.

Ahhh, yeah I see it now. That blows. This team just isn’t the same with him out.
