He’s at it again, and Collins thinks the upcoming “24/7 Penguins/Capitals: Road to the Winter Classic,” a joint venture between the League and HBO Sports, is can’t-miss programming for the NHL and its fans.

The “24/7” program will offer fans four shows of unprecedented access into the world of the NHL’s best present day rivalry starting in December and running through the 2011 Bridgestone NHL Winter Classic on Jan. 1 at Heinz Field in Pittsburgh. HBO episodes are scheduled for Dec. 15, 22, 29 and Jan. 5 (all at 10 p.m. ET, with encores at 11 p.m. ET each of those nights)
