Penguins’ Defensive Prospect Breaks Wrist

The Penguins’ Alex Grant, one of the top defensive prospects in their organization, was diagnosed with a broken wrist and whiplash as a result of a hit from behind by Senators’ rookie David Dziurzynski in the first period of their opening game of the rookie tournament in London, Ont.

Grant left the ice on a stretcher immobilized and immediately went to the hospital.  No word yet on how long Grant will be out of the lineup.
