Penguins recall touted prospect Caputi

With Tyler Kennedy suspended for one game due to his bruhaha with Leafs rookie Luke Schenn Saturday night, the Penguins have recalled touted prospect Luca Caputi from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton.  However, don’t get too aroused, I’m sure with HCMT behind the bench, Caputi will get his 3-5 minutes of ice time on the 4th line.

From the Penguins:

The Pittsburgh Penguins have recalled forward Luca Caputi from the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins of the American Hockey League (AHL), it was announced today by Executive Vice President and General Manager Ray Shero.

Caputi, 20, has appeared in 46 contests with the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, ranking fourth with 35 points (13 goals and 22 assists) along with 35 penalty minutes.  He ranks second on the team with 22 assists while posting a plus-one rating.  Caputi joined Wilkes-Barre/Scranton last season just prior to the start of the AHL Calder Cup playoffs.  He contributed eight points (four goals, four assists) in 19 post-season contests with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton.
