Penguins say “no” to personal seat licenses in new arena

The Penguins continue to keep its fanbase content by announcing that they would not sell personal seat licenses at the new Consol Energy Center when it opens in time for the start of the 2010-2011 NHL season.

Only two NHL franchises, Columbus and Toronto, charge PSL’s anyway, but in light of today’s economy, keeping the costs down for its season ticket holders is obviously one of the biggest priorities.

Penguins president David Morehouse said it plainly, “Mario (Lemieux) and Ron (Burkle) just decided they didn’t want to do it. They just said no,” Mr. Morehouse said.
