Puck Daddy chats with Bylsma, Malkin

From Puck Daddy’s Dmitry Chesnokov:

Q. Why did you decide to go to Moscow?

BYLSMA: Well, just as we wound down the season and talked about some of the things that we wanted to get better at next season and what we needed to do for next year in different areas like power play for some of our players, I thought it was important to make an effort to go see Geno. This is a season for Geno to get back to the season he had two seasons ago when he led the league in scoring.

Going to see Geno, going to see where he is from, spending some time was an important thing. Going to Moscow was kind of reaching out to where Geno started, where he grew up… Not where he grew up, but his country and where he is training this summer. That was the reason.

Nice article. I like Bylsma’s attitude, and it’ll be interesting to see how Geno performs this upcoming season. I’m fairly optimistic about a return to form.

Tony & Company

I was gonna try to make an insightful comment about this article. I dont know who or what they are talking about though. Where is Malkin? Evgeni Malkin? Well regardless of my ignorance, you did a good job.

What do you penguin fans think about Gonchar’s replacements. Is Paul Martin and that other weird named guy what the team really needed or what? IF you could would you rather sign Gonchar or are you complaisant with the new additions????? Was Gonchar asking for too much?

You’ve got to click the “Continue Reading” to read the entire article by the author (it’s not me)....

Martin and Michalek are exactly what they needed, defensive defensemen…. They are not Gonchar’s replacement, there are very few offensive defensemen like Gonchar…. If I was GM, I would’ve done the same thing….
