From the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review’s Rob Rossi:
Dupuis has agreed to a two-year contract to remain with the Penguins, sources told the Tribune-Review. The deal, which will be announced this afternoon, is worth $3 million total — meaning Dupuis will count $1.5 million against the salary cap each of the next two seasons.
Dupuis, 32, counted $1.4 million against the cap each of the previous three seasons. Over that span, he produced 47 goals over that span — including 35 the last two years, missing only two games over that period.
With Dupuis getting only a slight raise, the Penguins are committed to approximately $57 million toward NHL contracts for next season, when the salary cap will be $64.3 million.

This is a good deal for both sides. Pens get the short term and Dupuis gets a slight raise. I’m sure he wanted more but if all players remain healthy this year and with younger players looking to come up he will probably not be spending much more time in the top 6.

That’s an entirely reasonable contract for a versatile yet unspectacular player.
So far, so good.

This is a great deal for the Penguins. 100k increase over two years and he’s still well under 2m per hit? For a guy that does a little bit of everything for his team, I’d call that a bargain.

Well done.

...(though EvilPens will probably bitch about it like everything else).
That’s ^^^^^^ only going to get him started.

Very good and reasonable deal (though EvilPens will probably bitch about it like everything else). Good penalty killer, brings effort every night, meshes well with Sid. Only a 100k increase from the last deal he signed. I don’t like it. I love it.
