Whoda thunk it: Penguins get home ice in Eastern Conference Finals

It wasn’t too long ago that the Penguins were in serious jeopardy of completely missing the playoffs after being two wins from winning the Cup last season.
Well, not only did they make the playoffs, but now after winning two rounds vs. bitter rivals Philadelphia and Washington, but after Carolina’s 3-2 overtime victory over Boston tonight, the Penguins will have home ice advantage in the Eastern Conference Finals against the Hurricanes.
Home ice or not, the Hurricanes are sure to be one difficult opponent. Should be yet another great series for the trip to the Cup Finals.
