For really the first time this spring, a National Hockey League coach on the wrong end of the nightly penalty parade has decided to break rank and throw darts at an officiating duo. And MacTavish didn’t stop with one comment, he kept flinging.
In a controlled manner, MacTavish offered these pointed remarks in his post-game commentary:
- “You know the type of game you’re going to get - we talked about it - it’s Marc Joannette and Warren, who I’ve had my issues with over the years.
