Flames Sign Pair

Calgary, AB – Calgary Flames General Manager Darryl Sutter announced today the signing of centre Garth Murray and forward Riley Armstrong.

Murray, a native of Regina, Saskatchewan, has over 100 games of NHL experience split between Phoenix, Florida, Montreal and the New York Rangers. Murray was originally drafted by the Rangers in the 3rd round (79th overall) in the 2001 NHL Entry Draft.

Flames Sign McElhinney

Calgary, AB - Calgary Flames General Manager Darryl Sutter announced today the signing of defenseman Keith Aulie.

In 32 games as captain of the Brandon Wheat Kings of the Western Hockey League this season, the 6’6”, 217lb rearguard has recorded two goals and 15 assists for 17 points while accumulating 42 penalty minutes. Aulie is fresh off a gold medal win as a member of Team Canada at the recent 2009 IIHF World Junior Hockey Championship in Ottawa, ON.

Flames Recall Lundmark

Calgary, AB - Calgary Flames General Manager Darryl Sutter announced today the recall of forward Jamie Lundmark from Quad City (AHL).

After 28 games with the Quad City Flames this season, Lundmark leads the team in assists (23) and points (30). He was also named the CCM/AHL Player of the Month for November when he recorded 19 points (five goals and 14 assists) in 13 games.
