ARLINGTON, Va. – The Washington Capitals have recalled goaltender Dany Saborin to the Hershey Bears of the American Hockey League (AHL), vice president and general manager George McPhee announced today.
Sabourin, 30, signed with the Caps as an unrestricted free agent in July. He was on the opening-night roster and backed up Michal Neuvirth in the first three games prior to being assigned to Hershey on Oct. 15. Sabourin went 1-1-0 with a 1.94 goals-against average and a .921 save percentage in three preseason games for the Capitals.
