Colorado Calls Up Chris Stewart

The Colorado Avalanche Hockey Club announced today that forward Chris Stewart has been recalled from the Lake Erie Monsters, the team’s American Hockey League affiliate. He will be available for tonight’s game against the Dallas Stars.

It’s Stewart’s first career NHL call-up in the regular season after spending the last two seasons in Lake Erie where he has compiled 11 points (5g/6a) in 19 games played this year. During the 2007-2008 campaign, Stewart’s first full year as a pro, he recorded 44 points (25g/19a) in 77 games at Lake Erie. Stewart was recalled by Colorado during the 2008 playoffs, but did not dress.
